Can you please provide setup instructions on how to configure a FeaturedCarousel module on my home page?

You can get the normal featured product view by using "Static list" in the module setting.

If you need a "Carousel" action then you'll need to alter the product list templates your using to output the html required for the carousel. That will depend on what carousel you want to use.

Here is an example: https://www.electricitepro.com/

OK, I see.

There was a change in 4.0.4 to remove duplicate code. I wonder if this has stopped it working. Using the template in the first template gets me the carousel, but no products. I think the templates need to be altered to match the new code, I'll have a look.

Copy "ProductDisplayAjax.cshtml" to "FeaturedCarouselAjax.cshtml"
Copy "ProductDisplayAjax_pageinject.cshtml" to "FeaturedCarouselAjax_pageinject.cshtml"

Use "FeaturedCarouselAjax.cshtml" as first template in settings.

This will give you the corusel with products. I've not got the jQuery working yet, but I'll look at it later.

If you find the full solution, let me know.

The cycle JS needs to be activated after the ajax load.

So we need to change some stuff.

Rename the template "FeaturedCarousel_head.cshtml" to "FeaturedCarouselAjax_head.cshtml" (This will then inject this template into the head section of the page)

In that template uncomment the cycle2 JS.

<script type="text/javascript" src="/DesktopModules/NBright/NBrightBuy/Themes/ClassicAjax/js/jquery.cycle2.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="/DesktopModules/NBright/NBrightBuy/Themes/ClassicAjax/js/jquery.cycle2.carousel.min.js"></script>

In "FeaturedCarousel.cshtml"

change the class "cycle-slideshow" to "manual-slideshow" (this is to stop sycle activating before we have loaded the products.)

In "FeaturedCarouselAjax.cshtml" chnage hte script to this:

<script>
$(document).ready(function () {
// set the required ajax parmas for this module
$('#moduleid').val('@Model.ModuleId');
$('#pagesize').val('@Model.GetSetting("pagesize", "0")');
$('#themefolder').val('@Model.GetSetting("themefolder")');
$('#entitytypecode').val('@Model.GetSetting("entitytypecode")');
$("#modkey").val("@Model.ModuleRef");

$('#ajaxproducts@(Model.ModuleId)').change(function () {
$('.manual-slideshow').cycle();
});

loadProductList("@Model.ModuleId");

});
</script>

This should get it working and you should be able to adjust the style and options in the "FeaturedCarousel.cshtml" template.

I'm sorry if it's not 100% clear. I didn't write this theme so it's a tweek to get it working. I'll release this change in the next release. v4.0.5. But I might look into creating a professional module for carousel cycle, so it's easy to install and adapt.
