Brand New install of OS v4.0.5

and i canno upload images.

I have tried on multiple dnn installs version 9.1 and 9.2) and get the same problem

I even tried upgrading a nbs v3.6.5 that was work and got the same error after upgrade.

ive tried v4.05 and v4.06 and both have the same issue

There was a change in OpenStore v4. The Images have an option to create SEO friendly names for the file.

Maybe this is not backward compatible. Go into AdminPanel>Admin>Settings. and look for an option for friendly images, turn it off and save. If it's already off you can just try a save and try turning it on.


Let me know if that works.

Sorry, I see on your first post it fails with a new install.

Can you upload documents?

Check the setting for the folders and check the file system has the folders. Not seen this fail on a new install before. Maybe a permissions issue? check you IIS app pool has correct rights.

I see no such setting in the backend. in fact I see no mention of any friendly url settings



I cannot upload documents either


and my app pool appears to have proper rights as I even tried on an existing working install and same error
tried it on multiple servers also



and all the folders do exist

ended up having to delete the site files, database and reinstall EVERYTHING from scratch. but then the uploads ended up working
