I installed this plugin: https://github.com/nbrightproject/NBrightBuyDnnIdx
I also added the NBS Schedular in the Host settings

But edited products, new products are not indexed. I tried to re-index the site, but after that also no products are added to the search results.

What is wrong?

Try putting NBS into debug mode and try and manually run the scheduler. There is some restricted processing to stop processing from effecting the performance.

Once index, then debug mode can/should be turned off.

Just looking at the code, there was a fix for multiple portals a year ago, which does not look like it's been compiled into the module install. You can try compiling and rebuilding the module package.

I did try debug modus and restart both schedulars. Nothing helped. It is a single portal so the fix is not neccesary i think? What else could be the problem?

It's a long time since I looked at this module. And it was written for a specific client. Maybe the fix applies more changes than stated on Git. I suggest the next step is to compile the latest source code and try that.
